5 Ways to Get Pumped at Your “The LEGO Batman Movie” Pre-screening  Party

If Mr. Freeze didn’t send snowstorm Niko your way, you’re probably getting totally stoked to see LEGO Batman in theaters this weekend.
I LOVE LEGO’S take on superheroes! They use SO many characters from the DCU and they make references to the comics! Here are some fun party ideas!

LEGO Build Challenge

Who can build the best Batsignal or how about one of the Dark Knights sweet rides? The possibilities are endless! Fill small containers or boxes with bricks for each guest and set a timer for 5 or 10 minutes. You can be the judge or split your group in half- judges and builders.

If you find your Batcave low on LEGO bricks, never fear! You can buy loose bricks at the Pick-A-Brick wall at a LEGO Store near you. Remember to get lots of different black and dark gray bricks! Can’t find a LEGO store? Pick up some of the same small sets from your local toy store.

Cookie Decorating Challenge!

Break out the cookie dough! Home-made or store-bought sugar cookie dough would be great! Freehand the shape of LEGO Batman’s or another character’s head and see who has the best decorating skills. It’s fun and delicious!

Play LEGO Batman: 3: Beyond Gotham

It’s the latest installment of the console or Nintendo DS game franchise. It’s player-to-player co-op let’s you team up with friends sitting right next to you! Who doesn’t love switching characters and mindless, but adorable destruction? Plus, you get that classic, hilarious LEGO humor!

Watch The LEGO Movie

Speaking of the toy company’s incredible, Captain Obvious style humor. Pop in or turn on the original movie! After all, Batman did save the LEGO world from Lord Business! Wait, who? Emmet? Who’s Emmet?
